A day in Ximending (again)

As the title suggests. It's another post about my outing with Heather in Ximending! This time, our whole purpose was to watch MAGIC MIKE!!!

I'm not quite sure about the whole story but at least it was HOT

We were excited to watch the movie and waited for a whole week (we planned to go watch on Saturday, damn school). And guess what? I had a fever on Friday. Of course. But nothing could stop me, so I dragged myself to the theater at Ximending. By the time I reach, I was already feeling a lot better.

We had lunch at Coco Curry House before watching the movie.

I ordered chicken curry omelet with cream sauce

NT$215

It was delicious! 

I also ordered matcha green tea

Nothing special. And this tiny glass costs NT$70! What?!

Next time, buy drinks at 7-11 first  >:(

And desert is peach Panna cotta. 

It was delicious too!

Heather ordered fried squid curry omelet

NT$210 (I think)

Nothing special too. All drinks costs NT$70. So not worth it!

Heather's Desert is three flavors ice cream scoops

Conclusion : Eat once in a while when you have money and crave good curry. And order ONLY curry.

After the movie, we went shopping. And here's what I bought :

You realize I won't show my face in any of these pictures. That's because it's night time and we had to use flash. And flash makes my face look like a hooker waiting for customers in an alley. So yeah.

My mum bought this cute Hello Kitty blanket for me

It's pink and it's got donuts! I love! She also bought another matching one for herself. It's winter now and these thick soft blanket really keeps us warm!

A classmate of mine loves this clothes brand called "Dropped Dead"

Their clothes are really interesting. One day this classmate wore this donut sweater. CUTE OR WHAT?? If they've got other cute colors and sells in Taiwan I'd probably buy one. (That's me in the picture wearing the sweater BTW. I hid my face cause I looked like a retard in other show-face pics)

Caramel Flavoured Toothpaste?!?

Hi!!!! It's summer and I'm lazing around at home all day doing nothing but playing computer and playing iPad and eating and sleeping and everyday is just the same except maybe going shopping with Heather (which only happened two times for the last two months :/ ) so I got nothing to blog about!!! But!! The second time I went shopping with Heather I bought something interesting! And that is........ : 

CARAMEL FLAVORED TOOTHPASTE

The big huge shopping bag makes it feels like it's something really highclass

But it IS kinda expensive too. NT$150 for a small tube of toothpaste.

Translation : Hide scents don't hide books

.............  :/ I don't know what that means either

Probably because the shop's name is "Scent Library". Does that make more sense?

The shop sells a lot of stuffs like scented candles that can take you to Thailand, Tahiti, London 'cause it smells like the said places. Or hundreds of perfumes like rain scented perfume, or Jelly Belly (jelly bean) scented perfume. You know, they got all the scents you can think of. They have this strawberry ice cream scented perfume that really smells like strawberry ice cream!!! I wanna buy I wanna buy I WANNA BUY!!!! But it's NT$1200 for a bottle of perfume so I'll have to save my money first. Then I will wear all my sweets accessories that I made and spray some strawberry ice cream perfume on myself and I'll be the sweets girl!!!! 8D (sweets maniac)

REVIEW :

Are you ready? It's a HUGE disappointment D8

I mean it does smell like caramel and tastes like caramel. But it doesn't create bubbles in your mouth when you brush it with, it just creates this feeble froth. Making it feels like you teeth's not cleaned at all.

I guess if you want fun; like you wanna try brushing your teeth with caramel; you can try this out. But I suggest you have another tube of regular toothpaste beside you too if you don't wanna have cavities :/ 

They have 32 flavors, including bizarre ones like Indian curry flavor. So I guess they're just for fun? Not for those who take cleaning their teeth seriously. 

Anyway, I'm gonna save money and buy that strawberry ice cream perfume. So I'm gonna smell like ice creams wherever I go! (school) 8D

Kracie happy kitchen : Burgers

Last week, I bought this cool Japanese candy making thing. I've seen videos of these on Youtube and have always wanted to try making them! Long ago I made the sushi set :

So yesterday I did the burger set!

And this time I took ALOT more photos! :

First up, the french fries! :

After mixing with water and spreaded out

Alot like the real thing right?!

And they really smell like chips too! But not like french fries, more like Lays potato chips ya know?

Next up, the hamburgers! :

At first, after mixing it with water, they smell awful :/ I doubted about the taste

The buns rises up! (but the patties and french fries shrinks a bit though :/ )

It smells alot better after cooked! The meat REALLY smells like meat!!!

Molding it into shape is abit difficult.

In the end, I had to just cut the edges off. But just abit though.

IT FIZZLES!!! JUST LIKE THE REAL THING!!! 8D

But it tastes a teeny tiny bit sour though, dunno why :/

TADAA!!!

I cut the edges of the small cup used for adding water into the powder to put in left over ketchup for the french fries. Looks cute right?

Review :

     Hamburger : tastes like real buger but not the best burger you've ever had

 French fries : doesn't taste like french fries, more like Lay's potato chips.

But still cool!

                      Coca-cola : A bit sour.....but really tastes like coke!

                          Ketchup : tastes like ketchup 8)



 Conclusion : Kinda expensive to me. So buy it if you REALLY wanna try it or if you just happens to have the money. They tastes like the real thing! (unlike the sushi set, which are all grape flavoured gummy candy). But not the best thing you've ever had though, so don't expect it to taste like Mcdonald's. 

But it IS fun to play with!
